- CSS and JavaScript: Instead of cluttering up your web page with CSS or Javascript code, place them in external files that can be linked from each page. This will help speed up the loading of your web site
- Alt Image Tags: The alternative text that the browser displays when the surfer does not want to or cannot see the pictures present in a web page. Using alt tags containing keywords can improve the search engine ranking of the page for those keywords
- Browser Compatibility: Browser compatibility tool checks your page under different internet browsers. A key consideration in web design and SEO is to create pages that are browser independent - in other words pages that work as they are supposed to regardless of the user's choice of browser
- Content Analysis: Analysis the content. A through check on keywords placement, Keyword density, language, grammar mistakes will be considered. Page File Size: Always page size should be minimal. Keep Scripts and styles files in external files to minimize the page size
- Flash: Flash web pages are not search engine friendly, require the macromedia flash plug-in to view the page and don't allow the visitor to use the back button to return to the previous page. If you must use flash within your web site, offer an html page as an alternative so visitors with a dial-up modem can still access your site's information
- Frames: Framed pages consist of a number of pages for each page. i.e. if you have a top frame and a bottom frame for your framed page you will need to create topframe.html and bottomframe.html pages. The framed page will not be search engine friendly because the content is on different pages and may not be compatible with all browsers
- Images: Only use graphics that are relevant to your site's purpose, and aim for a file size that is 12 KB or smaller. If you must include an image that is larger than 12 KB, then use a thumbnail image
